Colin Boyd

Colin has been teaching in the Ulster College of Music since 2006. His students range from young beginners to experienced players working towards diplomas and beyond. Colin’s main focus is classical guitar, however he has helped many students pass their grades in both the Rockschool electric and acoustic syllabuses. Music theory is an integral part of Colin’s teaching. It doesn’t matter whether it’s classical, jazz or otherwise, he loves it all. Colin has been performing for many years in a variety of different situations – solo and ensemble classical, musicals, rock bands and is currently a member of the Belfast-based eight piece funk/disco outfit The Groove Line.
