Chamber Music Class

The Chamber Music Group has grown from a duet a few years ago to a group of up to 12 players who enjoy playing together and taking part in fundraising events and other performances. Musicians of all abilities, all ages and all instruments are welcome. Parts can be arranged to suit individual players. The atmosphere is relaxed and refreshments are served during a break in each session.

The class is taught by Astrid King, who started playing chamber music herself as a child, won 3rd prize for piano trio in the German Music Competition ‘Jugend Musiziert’ at the age of 15 and has continued to play in quartets, trios and larger ensembles ever since. She has played some of the most beautiful piano trios in the repertoire with Francis King and Morag Stewart over the last 15 years.

The Chamber Music class will meet on 5 Saturdays from 2:00pm to 3:30pm, with a break for refreshments.
