Eva Richards
Eva Richards graduated from the Royal Northern College of Music with First Class Honours in 2018. She also holds postgraduate degrees from the University of Iowa and the Royal Academy of Music.
A former Northern Ireland Young Musician of the Year, Eva was a finalist and winner of the Audience Prize in the Flax Trust Awards, where she performed Elgar’s Cello Concerto with the Ulster Orchestra. She has a keen interest in contemporary music and has premiered works for solo cello in the U.K., Ireland and the USA.
Eva works regularly with the National Symphony Orchestra, and has worked with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra and the Ulster Orchestra. Eva also enjoys teaching students of all ages. She was a coach for undergraduate students in the University of Iowa’s Chamber Music Residency programme and has taught primary school pupils in the Irish Chamber Orchestra’s Sing Out With Strings project and the Ulster Orchestra’s Crescendo initiative.
